The 2004 Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament was held in Belle Plaine and Jordan. Hamburg entered the tourney as the Region 7C runner-up. The Hawks lost their first game 2 - 1 in an epic, 17 inning battle against Melrose.  Stand-outs for the Hawks were Tim Stuewe, with an early home run, and Mike Mueller who pitched 11 strong innings in a losing effort.

The 2000 Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament was held in Sleepy Eye and Fairfax.  Hamburg entered the tourney as the Region 7C runner-up. Unfortunately, the Hawks came up short in their first game, losing to Elko by a score of 5 to 4 in a 10 inning battle.

The 1997 Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament was held in Maple Lake and Delano. This was Hamburg's first visit to the state tourney since 1975. Hamburg entered the tourney as the Region 7C Champion but were defeated in their first game by Avon.
