Hawk History

Initially, the Hamburg Baseball Park shared duties with a local farmer.  During the week, the field was a pasture for the local dairy herd.  On Sundays, the cows were chased away, bases put down, and the game was played.  What started as a farmer’s pasture in the 1940’s has turned into one of the finest facilities in the state!

In addition to being home to the Hamburg Hawks town team, we also provide facilities for the local Babe Ruth teams, as well as the NYA High School team.  We have also hosted a wide variety of tournaments including three Minnesota State Baseball tournaments….1983 w/Arlington, 1988 and 1998 w/Chaska.  We have also hosted numerous Minnesota High School Sectional and Sub-Sectional Championships as well as American Legion Regional tournaments.

Completed in 1995, our grandstand was built in its entirety with volunteer labor from community and club members.
